“Let’s Have a conversation”
PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH PSA CAMPAIGN – Houston Healh Department
Sharing Facts to Stop Rumors. When Truth Can Save Lives in a Great Campaign
As it became public knowledge in late 2020 that a vaccine to prevent COVID-19 would soon be available, the Office of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner contacted Gilbreath Communications to enlist Gilbreath’s support of the Mayor’s Office and the Mayor’s Health Equity Response Task Force in developing a PSA campaign — “Let’s Talk About the Vaccine: Join the Conversation” — encouraging Houstonians’ participation in a virtual roundtable with the mayor and several Houston health care experts. The campaign sought to educate Houstonians about the vaccine, address skepticism, and ultimately urge residents to consider taking the vaccine when it became available.
